Fist things first, we've stayed in our fair share of Airbnbs over the last couple of years but none (seriously guys, NONE!!) compare to the beautiful serene chalet known as Blue Col. We couldn't have been more swept away as we pulled up to our home for a few days to celebrate Marcus' 30th birthday. We dropped our bags in the living room and immediately went outside to take in the breathtaking view. We were greeted by the owner, David who chatted with us for a bit about the space and gave us a few recommendations in the area.
As if the outside isn't charming enough, inside lies beautiful simplistic Scandinavian feels. This place is a minimalist dream. The open flow of this space is unmatched. Even the sound of sweet music playing echoes perfectly into the bathroom, where you'll find beautiful marble counter tops, a walk in shower, and a large window, allowing you to appreciate the natural surroundings whilst getting ready.

The bed was extremely comfortable. We felt like we were sleeping on cloud 9.
It was so nice to unwind and disconnect from our day-to-day lives during our visit. We roasted marshmallows by the fire pit, made a big batch of pancakes for breakfast, watched countless comedies until our stomachs hurt from laughter. We read by the fireplace, we even went hiking at Sam's Point (less than a 10 minute drive away).

As we were pulling off headed back to the city I couldn't help but think "Geez, this would be a perfect venue for a wedding or even photo shoots". Thanks Blue Col, we loved it here and we are already planning our visit back.
