Gurney’s Star Island is the latest addition to the iconic resort collection, Gurney’s Resorts. With Star Island being just a short drive away from the original Gurney’s, we found it to be a bit more on the chill side. One of the true highlights on the property was the restaurant, Showfish, which has a sea to table approach, bringing the taste of Montauk to your plate (order the scallop carpaccio). The cocktail program changes seasonally and the bartenders have tons of knowledge to make their own rifts on your favorite classics. As a guest you have complimentary shuttle access to the main resort, which we took full advantage of and even took in an immaculate sunset while we were there. The resort has plenty of water sports and activities if you’re feeling up to it. We chose to learn how to sail for the day with Sail Montauk, and it was equally beautiful and relaxing. Our time at Gurneys Star Island was nothing short of amazing!
