Top 5 Stays
Whether it has been a private island off the coast of Antigua or Upstate New York in a beautiful cabin, we wanted to list out a short post consisting of our favorite places to stay. We couldn’t possibly agree on 5 so we made it our top 6. These are in no particular order, but the criteria was based on whether a place had us intoxicated well after our stay. Did we bring it back up with each other a year later? Yes! Do we still talk about it to this day? Often! Was the service impeccable?Certainly! Did it have the best bed we ever layed on? Can we go back already?!
These places all stood out amongst the rest because it just simply has that IT factor.
Anyway, here’s our list:
This Soho House property oozes with history and legacy. The character and design of all Soho House properties are always on point, but the thing that made Kettner’s Townhouse so memorable was our room. Upon walking into the space, we took a spiral staircase up to the living quarters where we were wowed by what we saw. The tub goes down as one of our favorites.
Quite possibly the coolest upstate property we ever stayed in, Linden House is goals (so is Hayfield). The beautiful architecture and interiors of this place have us obsessing til this day. We aspire to have a home like this!
Talk about hospitality! Hotel groups should send staff to The Middle House to see what impeccable service looks and feels like. The attention to detail in the rooms is bar none. The Middle House creates an experience that you’ll never forget.
Viceroy is so futuristic and visually pleasing to the eye. It’s probably easy to understand why it makes the list by simply looking at the photos. The whole time we were there we were pinching ourselves. A jaw dropping minimal dream, Viceroy is in a category of its own.
Quite possibly the most amazing experience you can create in one stay. Jumby Bay is the ultimate paradise. Upon arriving in Antigua, you take a ferry over to Jumby Island where you are met with a refreshing cocktail before check-in. We still talk about the serenity of this place; with multiple pools and restaurants and two beaches it’s almost like you have this beautiful island all to yourself. While we understand that all inclusive resorts makes a lot of sense for most travelers (especially families) , it’s not our preferred style. However, Jumby Bay quickly changed our mind! If most hotels handled all inclusive the way they do at Jumby, then we would be Team All-Inclusive. We can’t wait til the day we get back here.
This upscale stay in Stockholm has the feeling of refinement and overall cool vibes . The things we still talk about to this day are the precise choice of furniture, the state of the art gym, and practicality of the space ( there’s music lounge, restaurant, meeting rooms etc). . However our favorite part of this hotel is the cocktail bar, it blew us away with its innovative menu. We were truly sad to leave Hotel at Six.
