A Weekend Getaway to Washington D.C. w/ Amtrak

We headed off to Washington D.C. over the weekend and had a blast. The ease of traveling by train made the entire trip so much smoother. We hopped right on at Penn Station and set off on our three and half hour journey. Once we made it to Washington D.C., we dropped our bags off at the hotel and went to grab a bite to eat. The weekend was filled with delicious food, walking down some of the most beautiful blocks we have ever seen, and popping into museums. A huge perk of the trip was the fact that we could bring out dog, Pierre, along. Amtrak is pet friendly and for a small fee you can bring your furry companion on board with you (they need to be in a carrier, of course). We're not sure if we have ever introduced y'all to Pierre (our 8 yr old yorkie) but he has made a few appearances on Instagram, anyway the fact that we could travel with him made the trip even better, at least he sure thought so. We fell in love with D.C. this weekend and can't wait to head back on Amtrak. #sponsored
