Bahamas with Royal Caribbean
If you would of told us a month ago that we would be on a cruise headed to The Bahamas we wouldn't have believed you. And, if you would of told us that the cruise left basically from our backyard (New Jersey) we wouldn't have believed that either. So when we had the opportunity to travel on Royal Caribbean's Anthem Of The Seas we were beyond ecstatic.
With this being our first time cruising we had no idea what to expect, and we were in for quite a treat. Top of the line restaurants like our favorites: Coastal Kitchen (which has the best staff ever) and Izumi by Chef Marinon Kusineo, which boost extremely delicious Japanese cuisine. There was a vitality spa, fitness center, indoor skydiving, and even bumper cars. The options seemed endless and extremely fun might we add.
Our first stop was Cococay, Bahamas. We were one of the first to hop off the ship and set foot on the island early in the morning. The beach was so serene with its crystal clear waters and powder like sand. We hung out for most of the day sipping on cocktails and laying out, talk about relaxing!
Our next stop was in Nassau where we started off the morning with an extremely breathtaking sunrise run. After rinsing off in the ocean, we chatted it up with some of the locals and discovered where we could find the freshest food and local must-have, Conch Salad! We spent the afternoon exploring the island and laying on Cabbage beach. The blue water was unforgettable!
We really had a damn good time during our 7 days on board, but our favorite part of it all was being able to experience sunrise and sunset at sea. No obstructed views, just us and this special moment with the universe and that's something we can really get with! Until the next cruise... ✌️🚢
