Marcus is always asking me if I could ever go vegetarian, and I'm always like "hell nah" because my love for bacon surpasses most things but this restaurant had me reconsidering. The Butcher's daughter is a juice bar and " vegetable slaughter house" (their words not mine) that serves vegetarian and vegan goodness.
We attempted to get there for breakfast but missed it by about 30 minutes (why do us girls take forever to get ready?) so lunch it was.
Butcher's Grilled Cheese (Vegan melted Cheddar, heirloom tomato, avocado, adzuki bacon, wilted basil on grilled sourdough.)
The menu is fairly small offering a few juices, salads, and sandwiches. Marcus opted for the avocado toast and I had the grilled cheese. Now I have to admit, I was a little skeptical ordering a grilled cheese. After all, this place is non dairy and the bacon is made from beans, but I was so surprised by how delicious this sandwich was.
We are always sharing what we order with one another, and after one bite Marcus was like "you win babe"! And that's how I ended the day...WINNING! 🏆
